Peace Lily in Lattice Work Basket

"...the beauty of each blossom
speaks silently of God's love..."
Materials/Tools needed:
STEP
1: Dip
pointed end of toothpick in yellow acrylic paint and let it dry.
STEP
2: Punch 5
diamond shaped petals from white crepe paper or draw it free hand and cut it
out. Glue each petal (with the pointed end facing up) around the toothpick
stamen you have made. Cover stem with green florist tape. Make a total of 5
peace lilies. Once it dries,
slightly tilt the top of the petal down for a natural effect.
STEP
3: Punch or
cut 10 long leave shaped ones (see picture above). Cut about 10 pieces of wire with
varying heights (max height of 6cm). Glue each wire in the center of each leaf.
Fold the leaves into 2 (while the glue is still drying) to make a spine
in the center.
STEP
4: For the
lattice work basket, cut the matchstick end away. Stack and glue 4 matchsticks
(2 below and 2 above) to form a square. Repeat steps until you have stacked and
glued all 16
matchsticks. If you prefer, paint the lattice work basket. Let the
basket dry.

STEP
5: Push brown
clay in the center of the basket (clay gives a sturdy base so that your plant
does not topple). Arrange the 5 peace lilies (turn 1 or 2 lilies
facing back of arrangement and let a
few turn sideways for a realistic
effect). Arrange all your leaves into place. Once the clay dries, pull
some of
the leaves down.
