Teanie Baby

      Materials/Tools Required:

• Tissue paper with grooves (as shown on baby’s blanket)
• Fancy lace trimmings
• Scrap fabric
• Small round crochet table mat
• Muslin (tea dyed for skin colour)
• Black ink fabric pen
• Cosmetic pink rouge
• Scissors
• Clear drying glue
  

STEP 1: Roll a piece of tissue into a small ball, cover with tea dyed muslin cloth and tie the end to
form baby’s head. Cut off the muslin cloth leaving a gap of 4.5cm for the body. Fold the round crochet
table mat into two and wrap the baby’s body.  Secure the crochet baby wrap end with glue or a simple
stitch.  Draw 2 dots for the eyes, eyebrow and mouth with a black fabric ink pen. Dab a little rouge onto
your finger and smoothen it into the cheeks.

STEP 2: Cut the tissue measuring 8cm by 8cm for the baby’s mat. Decorate the edges with lace
trimmings. Fold a scrap fabric to make a pillow and glue it in place.

STEP3: Your baby doll is now ready for display on the baby mat and pillow you have just made.
