Charter of the Grand and Illustrious Imperial Order of the Valkyrie.


To all and singular to whom these presents shall come,greetings:

Let it be known that it has pleased His Imperial Majesty,The Sovereign Viking Emperor to issue this new Charter for the Grand and Illustrious Imperial Order of the Valkyrie.

Article 1:
The name of this Imperial Order of Knighthood shall be:The Grand and Illustrious Imperial Order of the Valkyrie.

Article 2:
Only the Emperor,as the Fount of Honour of the Viking Empire of Stormark,may appoint members to this Imperial Order and He shall make appointments in His absolute discretion.

Article 3:
The Consort of the Emperor shall be the Grand Master of this Imperial Order and shall have authority to recommend new members in this Imperial Order for confirmation by the Emperor.

Article 4:
In the absence of a Consort shall the Emperor fulfill the duties of the Grand Master.

Article 5:
Only ladies may be appointed to this Imperial Order.

Article 6:
The maximum number of members in this Imperial Order shall be one hundred and thirty-nine(139)and they shall be divided in four(4)classes.

Article 7:
The maximum number of members in separate class, and the classes of this Imperial Order in descending order of seniority and precedence shall be :

One(1)Grand Master

Fourteen(14)Dames Grand Cross (to be abbreviated DGCV)

Twenty-four(24)Dames Commander(to be abbreviated DCV)

One Hundred (100)Dames(to be abbreviated DV)

Article 8:
In the case of a separation shall the Consort loose the Grand Masterhood of this Imperial Order unless the Emperor provides otherwise on the Consort's request.

Article 9:
Any member may be stripped of his/her membership in this Imperial Order by the Emperor. Such action to be undertaken only in the case of a conviction of Treason, Subversion or other high or grave crimes,or conduct unbecoming a lady.

Article 10:
This Charter replaces the Charter of November 18,2002 and said Charter is hereby rescinded.
