My first comic book done when I was 13 years old was called Protecters(sic). There were probably fifty members of the Protecters, and I think I introduced five new characters per issue. Issue 1 is below. The paper that I used was out of date city council inspection forms that I found in a dumpster and drew on the back of with a #2 pencil. I have a stack of probably 300 pages like this one featuring the Protecters and various spinoff series. I did a crossover event with all of my titles that ended with the destruction of Earth. This was before DC's Crisis, whether you believe it or not. I stopped drawing comics for the Protecters Universe when I was 15, about the same time I started meeting girls. I know they are still out there, though. Maybe someday I will re-visit it. I might go with a real artist, though... |
