PHS BAND BOOSTER MEETING MINUTES
October 5, 2007
We
met in the band hall. Janice spoke about
Bank
balance on the 1st page of the treasurer’s report. Balance $4000.
Don’t
forget to put your child’s name in the drawing for $100 to go toward their trip
fund for each 2 hour shift you work.
Trucks
are needed to take items over to the stadium on Friday and Saturday. You will get a drink ticket for each 2 hour
shift you work also.
Weather
is suppose to be good. Light chance of
rain in the late evening.
Got
a great idea from
Volunteers
try not to park at JFK unless it is at the back row against the baseball
field. Grant lot will be full and maybe
can park in the grass, will have to see tomorrow. Perhaps at Fassnight park in their second row
of parking to the north of the playground area.
Do not know if the church will let any of us park in their parking lot.
Shelley
stated those working at concessions need closed toed shoes and a hat. If no hat, hair net.
Pete
stated there would be 2-way radios or communications. Remember when you get one to check it out in
your name and return it so we can keep track of them. We will be on a specific channel. Golf carts are for Pete and Linda. Perhaps for others who really need to use
them.
Susan
said there was helium for balloons, hi-notes make sure they are appropriate for
the event.
The
Munguia’s will provide hoses for the ice buckets a the stadium. Kids are to wear their band shirts/section shirts
all day. Band escorts need to be in
their band uniforms because they will need to go get ready to perform right
after they escort.
Volunteers,
we would like for you to wear this year’s band shirt or a previous year’s shirt
just so we can identify you as a PHS volunteer please.
LaDonna
stated that the tent concessions were Chick-fil-et and Papa John’s and Shave
Ice. Mr. T’s shirts would be there, so
will Jolesch photography.
Football
booster van will be moved out of the way.
If
you need to see the band schedule it is online.
Programs
sell for $3 and admission is $5.
Volunteers
check in at the stadium so we will know who is here and what positions need to
be filled if do not show up.
Measha
stated there will be a Halloween party in the band hall on Tuesday, Oct.
30. Time is still unsure. DJ will be provided, needs donations to help
pay for his time. Haunted house in the
band hall, DJ in the small gym. Food
committee will meet soon, parents to chaperone, help clean up, help with food
distribution.
Conzy
stated that the Churchill’s coffee fundraiser will begin at the end of October,
first of November. Pick up will be
different. Fill orders will be the same
and will need volunteers to help. Money
will be placed in individual kid’s trip accounts. Coffee - $4; Tea/Hot Choc/Chai Tea are all
different amounts.
Entertainment
books are $20; there are still some available but you need to get them from Mr.
Tipton. Cherrydale Farms orders are due
to Mr. Tipton also.
Denise
Munguia has the hand stamps. The adults
will be stamped with the Viking stamp and kids on the busses will be marked
with magic markers. Adults need to stamp
adults, kids – kids. Keep the students
on the busses and allow our kids on to mark their hands, then let them leave
their bus.
Sandwiches
have all donated items, need volunteers in the band hall to help assemble. 8-10 people please.
We
