| General Information |
| Band Fees: |
| Band fees cover many things -- marching music and show, guard and percussion instructors, meals for band members, equipment truck rental for competitions, bus transportation, and entry fees. Band fees at Parkview may have to increase to $100 for the 2008-2009 school year. This is due to increased prices of music, supplies, etc., that Mr. Tipton has come across during the 2007-08 year. In addition to the band fee, there is an activity fee charged by the school district of $25. This fee is used to help defray the costs of school bus transportation, uniform cleaning, and some instrument repairs. |
| Booster Committees: |
| There are many ways to get involved with the Parkview Band. Please review the list of committees and let us know where you will be able to help. There will be sign-up sheets at the September booster meeting and at Open House. |
| ONE-TIME EVENTS: *Senior Night - Seniors are honored at the last home football game. Committee plans event including senior/parent recognition at game, reception, senior gift, and photographer. *Memory Book - Compile photos and bios on each senior into a memory book to be presented to graduating seniors at the end of the year. *Awards Picnic - Organize a picnic or banquet at end of year. This event has been used to recognize achievements of band members. |

| The PHS Band website has a new look and will be updated frequently. This is the place to go for information on upcoming events, schedule changes, itineraries, pictures, and more. In an effort to reduce expenses, we would like to communicate by e-mail instead of snail-mail as much as possible. | Band Hall Safe: |
| There is a safe located in Mr. Tipton's office in the band hall. It is the safest place for students to put band fees, t-shirt orders, and Valhalla ad money. There is a mailbox-type slot in the top of the safe to allow students to place envelopes into it. All envelopes should be marked with the student's name and type of payment. DO NOT LEAVE ENVELOPES WITH MONEY ON MR. TIPTON'S DESK! |
