Diary - March 2008.
Every week, a new long distance footpath appears to spring up somewhere!  One of the more long-standing paths in this area is the Limestone Link, which runs from the Cotswold Way at Cold Ashton through to the West Mendip Way at Shipham.  Over the course of 4-5 days between November and April, I plan to walk the course of this route.

Logistically, it does require a couple of cars -being a linear route.  On Sunday 9th March, I tackled the fourth leg of this walk from Clutton through to a point above Ubley.  This section of the walk begins to climb onto the high Mendip Hills - close on 1000 feet above sea level.

PS. What next? The final few miles of the Limestone Link through to Shipham.  It has been a really good walk - and what has taken 5 days for a middle-aged man might just take a day or two for a fit younger person - although, with good company and conversation these things cannot be rushed!
