I have lived and grown up on the coast of North East of England all of my life. I have travelled to many other towns Doncaster and Sheffeild being my favourit in the UK as well as abroad, Spain and America and soon will be travelling to Malta to be maid of honour to my best friends wedding. I grew up with my older sister younger brother and a younger sister.
Now I have my own rented place, much more bigger than a bedroom in your parents house I must say. I have a georgous female Jack Russel dog named Pepper and a hamster named Puwen. Paying bills out here and there and everywhere is hard to get around.
I do like to make websites when I get the time of day to make the idea become reality. I also like to do performing arts, acting mainly, acting infront of the camera is preferred than to be on stage. I have done little work in performing arts as here in the North East it is very hard to find work in acting as many drama classes are aged limited and / or they ask for qualifications.
I began taking an interest in performing arts / acting when I was on a life skills course 'The Prince's Trust.' The course brought me out of my shell and give me more confidence to do anything. So I began to look into acting theatres and classes around my home town. Through Connections I found a young peoples centre that do short dramatic films based around life issues, based on what help they give out. The videos are aimed to help people.
I was rehearsing for a film based on theft of cars until the main actor alongside me was no longer available to take on the role any further. So this was cancelled as no auditions are taken as all work is voluntary. After cancelling the film they brought me into another film at last minut, because all the schedual and casting was complete I was given a small role to play. The film was based on racisim in football called 'Frontline Troops.' Making that film I found was an experience. Firstly because it was my very first performance in anything and also Leslie Simpson (actor from Dogsoldiers casted as Terry) took part as a coach. I got to have a little chat with him before getting told to shut up because my voice was going through the camera.
Along came another opertunity to take part in performing arts. Prince's Trust Drama Live usually known as Sound Live. A huge group of unemployed people took part, met at Newcastle and got a coach to hotel in Otterburn. We has a week to come up with a 3 hour variety performance. Stressful as it was I took part in 3 performances throughout the night.
Once again finding it hard to get into performing arts I decided to goto college. Most colleges advised me that I would need GCSE's at a certain grade but hang on how come actors under 16, GCSE's not even taken yet have gotten into acting. So my search went on until I finally found a college that did such a low level in performing arts, East Durham Haughall Community college. As fun as it was I had to cancel half way through my course because of the jobcentre's rules. So here I am now yet again stuck in the world of being in the wrong place. Some day I will reach my goal.
