Ayia Thekla is named after the church in one of the oldest spots in the region dating back to the middle ages, and has a history of having suffered severe damage over the centuries by the many armies that conquered the island. The buildings current condition dates back to the beginning of the last centrury. There is a sandy beach protected from the waves by a small island just offshore.
All along the beaches of Ayia Napa facilities for all sea sport are provided including :-
