As it has been, so it is: the Voice of "Nazitlan," the Reconquest and Inquisition. Espańol

As it has been, so it is: the Voice of the Reconquest and Inquisition.

Recent articles in “Voz de Aztlan” bring to our Villista ears echoes of other voices…but they have nothing to do with the voices of Aztlan. They are:

Ř      The voice of King Afonso, whose thirst for power tore Motamid and Muslim Spain asunder from El Cid and Christian Spain, bringing Yusuf the Berber, the Osama bin-Laden of his day, to Spanish shores, and beginning the process of the Reconquest and Inquisition which drenched Spain in blood for hundreds of years.

Ř      The voices of King Ferdinand, Queen Isabella, and Torquemada who, not content with shedding Jewish, Muslim, and Christian blood in Spain and Europe, used Christopher Columbus to carry their sanguinary Crusade to the Americas: to us.

Ř      The voices of Hernan Cortes and Francisco Pizarro, who drowned our nations in blood, establishing Spanish rule, which was genocide and slavery to us.

Ř      The voices of Porfirio Diaz, who stole the victory of Benito Juarez from us, and Victoriano Huerta, who stole the victory of the Mexican Revolution from us, necessitating its continuation.

Ř      The voices of Venustanio Carranza and Alvaro Obregon, who stole the Mexican Revolution from Francisco Villa, Emiliano Zapata, and the Mexican people.

Ř      The voice of Francisco Franco, who drowned the Spanish Republic in blood, and to whom President Lazaro Cardenas replied by giving Spanish Republicans asylum in Mexico, as he gave Leon Trotsky, and by refusing to recognise the Fascist government of Spain.

Ř      The voice of Luis Echiverria, who ordered the massacre of UNAM students in Tlalaco Square in 1968.

Ř      The voices of Carlos Salinas de Gortari, who stole the Mexican Presidency from Cuauhtemoc Cardenas, and Ernesto Zedillo Ponce de Leon, whose path to the Presidency was baptised in the blood of Luis Donaldo Colosio: they tried to redirect the Mexican thirst for justice into their own pockets and into the pockets of their foreign sponsors, necessitating the renewal of the Mexican national liberation movement by us Zapatistas and Villistas, among many others.

Ř      The voice of Vicente Fox and the National Action Party, which exploited the righteous indignation of the Mexican people at 70 years of PRI misrule, and now finds itself exposed to that indignation.

Yes, we know these voices well: the voices from above, the voices that impose themselves upon us with every means at their disposal. To these, we answer with our insurgent, rebel voices, the voices of the excluded, the voices from below: you aren’t the Voice of Mexico…and you certainly aren’t the Voice of Aztlan. You are the "Voz de Nazitlan."

Liberty! Justice! Democracy! Human Rights!
