Both you and I have a mutual interest at this point in time. I do believe the U.S. may have won the war in Iraq, but have lost the world respect in the process.
I also have some very important information for you to review and release to Mr. Chris Ellis, as will as your sons, and your parents.

I believe that these two (2) sites shall explain it all to you sir.
Also, I intend to be flying to Vladivostok on the first (1st) of July, and strongly recommend that you consider the same, of at least 400 km. as well as any loved ones that you may know, or at least consider severnaja zemlja of the same distance.
I prey, that you will take heed of my word to you sir, it is very important to the world at this point in time that you keep the league for human rights open to the people of the United States and the world.

Mazolov
There are several elements in it that demanded my attention:
First, it is evident that this person was in contact with Chris Ellis, who is a fellow activist at the Human Rights Defence League/Liga para Defender los Derechos Humanos: (formerly League for Human Rights/Liga para los Derechos Humanos). There are accurate items relating to me personally, as well as the knowledge that I studied the Russian language (the reference to “severnaja zemlja” -Северная Земля or Northern Land).
Second, this person obviously represents himself as Russian: not only the aforementioned reference, but the flight to Vladivostok and the name: the nearest cross-reference I could find was to Mazol Tov, the traditional Jewish salutation, which is interesting.
Finally, reference to the Under The Same Sun and Common Dreams websites confirmed the focus on the US debacle in Iraq.
I do not know Oleg V. Mazol(t)ov: he could be a Russian human rights activist, ex-KGB, Israeli Mossad, all of the above…or none of the above! This could be a warning of an impending terrorist attack, crackdown on dissidents by US Homeland Security, or the former followed by the latter, as I would tend to hypothesise. The mention of a 400km “safe distance” (the Human Rights Defence League/ Liga para Defender los Derechos Humanos is based in San Bernardino, 100km from Los Angeles) seems to indicate terrorist attack, as does the date: by the time “sovereignty” is restored in Iraq, it will be 1 July here (most hypotheses of terrorist attack focus on US events, such as Memorial Day, which has passed,, the G-8 meeting, or the Democratic and Republican National Conventions: this is the first I’ve seek that is based on the so-called “handover” of Iraq). The 400km makes sense if one considers nuclear fallout: so does the recommended retreat to “northern land,” which would put the Transverse Ranges between us and the LA Metro area: yet, if this a warning of coming repression, “northern land” could mean Canada. Significantly, I don’t know where “Oleg V. Mazolov” is now.
So, I am requesting your help, dear reader, in evaluating whether this communication is of genuine value or a hoax: the least I can do is to pass it on. Please respond to this email as soon as you can: rest assured that we of the Human Rights Defence League/Liga para la Defensa de los Derechos Humanos will continue our struggle, and will make the best possible use of your responses.
