The PxExtra has a limited amount of bedding plants available. Graf's garden center is a bit more plentiful. For awesome deals check out Einharpal, located behind the Manhattan Club on the main street leading into Vilseck. Also Wurfl's,(take a left on the first street before crossing the RR tracks after passing the REWE and Manhattan Club.) Should you care to explore further out, Amberg has a wonderful garden shop called Nagel's, this is just past the traffic circle in town. Also in Amberg, behind McDonalds is a Home Depot like store and Pet Shop right off the Autoban. |

The Self Help center on post has much to offer. Some items available are; peat moss, bark chips, mowers, weed eaters, hedge trimmers, sanders, drills, rakes, shovels, trowels, garden boxes, shelving, grass seed, sand, lightbulbs, nails, screws and do it yourself tapes. Compare to a small Ace Hardware, and best of all, free. In the spring you can receive free flowers for your garden too! You or your spouse must attend a 30-45 min class and then you can help yourself! |

Dachua concentration camp is open every day. On Sundays there is an American video and tour starting in the mid morning. South of Nurenberg, which is a 50 miles drive, this is a significant trip for any World War II buff. We can only prevent the past events of horror by remembering those who paid the price for freedom. |

The gentleman that works at the internet cafe is an encyclopedia of knowledge if your interested in locating WWII military POW camps. He has strongly advised that our WWII POWs be remembered to. Hard to locate, these camps are scattered throughout Germany. Visit the internet cafe and ask the gentleman behind the counter for more info. I'll post more info as I receive the specifics. |
