Class Groups

How They work

  1. Definition: Group of 3 to 4 students that meet together during classtime to keep each other up to date on material learned in class.

  2. Things class group will do: write summaries of material covered during class, describe concepts of the readings, help each other to make sure everyone "gets it", to encourage each other in practicing good study habits and keep those who are absent up to date.

  3. I will give time to for groups to meet, to have a homebase where you can talk about progress in THIS class and the information that we encounter.

Consists of

  1. Leader: Is in charge of the group, Make's sure that all work is done and turned in.

  2. Co-Leader/Writer: Is in charge of keeping notes, and will control the group when Leader is absent.  Will also re-write any group assignments for the group.

  3. Inquierer/Questioner: Is in charge of asking the teacher questions on behalf of the group.  This student will raise their hand and ask to approach the teacher.

  4. Checker: This student is in charge of double checking all group work turned in.
