Anime and Art

This page is dedicated to Anime or Japanese art(manga or cartoons) basically cartoons but in japan they do anime as a large part of their film industry, so it gets competitive and therefore quality goes up.  Some of the artwork is in my opinion awsome, very detailed and just plain beautiful.  But like anything else you get some good and some bad.  So to help with what weed them out, I have put what I personally like in anime.

The Slayers:

So far this is my favorite anime, its clean(no nudity), has a great storyline(saving the world... surprise surprise), and nice artwork.  Also very funny at times.  It's a Sword and Sorcery type with very serious stuff and some slapstick comedy... very good stuff

Here are some of the Main characters.  Not in any particular order.

Even though I didn't put them in a real kind of order I have to put Lina first.  She's the main character of the series and is what everything is revolving around.  Basically she makes things happen.  She's a hot-headed very powerful sorceress.  Her temper comes and goes at a whim.  She's very intelligent, and knows combat skills(also carries a short sword, and knows how to use it), and tactics.  Won't admit it but really likes Gourry.

Lina Inverse

Amilia is a pricess of Seruun, daughter of prince Philionel.  Is the type of person that loves to be the hero, and will go to great lengths to make it "look cool" or tries to always make a dramatic entrence.  Which usually makes her end up face first on the floor or something.  All in all a fairly powerful healer with some astral magic.  Belives storngly that good will always wins and has a lively personality.  Can be gullible too.

Amilia Seyruun

I should probably put Filia down a bit because she doesn't appear until much into the series but im just too lazy : P.  She is from the dragon clan, that usually takes human form.  She carries a HUGE spiked club and smacks people with it when she gets upset.  Usually very calm but when upset or surprised will swing her weapon without hesitation.  Part of some kind of holy clan of dragons that were mostly wiped out by Xellos a very long time ago.

Filia

Gourry Gaubrigiv

Gourry is basically the comic relief of the series.  He is a wonderful swordsman that carries the legendary 'Sword of Light'.  But as luck would have it he's a complete idiot.  Not understanding the basics of magic at all he cannot wield any real magics, but can hold his own with almost anyone as a swordsman.  Zangulus is always after him because he wants to fight someone strong, and when it comes to Swordsmanship, Gourry is the best.

Zelgadis

Zel is a human that wanted more power, he worked hard when he was young to become stronger.  He wanted it so badly that one day Rezo saw him and offered him the power he was seeking.  He agreed but Rezo tricked him and made him partly into a golem.  He was very upset by this because it disfigured his face and now he thinks he looks hidious and wanted to destroy Rezo for doing it to him.  It doesn't explain how but he is also part demon, with demonic powers of speed.  He is a formidable swordfighter and mage.  Mostly in the astral magics.
