Expectations. Everyone has them, but just once, don't you wish you could just feel free of having to live up to what everyone expects of you? Live how you want to live, not how you are expected to live. Be how you are expected to be. It's all fun and games when you're young. Rebellious, living "outside the box", but then reality hits you. Normally in your early twenties, you realize that you won't get anywhere living the way you are. You're going to have to go to school, get a job, just do SOMETHING to put yourself in the norm. I don't want to hear the "Oh, I'm not going to live my life like that" bullshit either. You're going to, just like everyone else. Nine to five you're going to conform and do what you're told by your asshole boss, who doesn't give two shits about you. After hours though, once five hits. You can do whatever the hell you want, but those eight hours that you're at work, you're just another lemming. Sometimes after work just isn't enough for people. They want to live how they lived when they were young all the time, and we see where that gets them.

This is just what's expected of you.

If you want to live happily. If you want to have a family and kids. If you don't want to be living in the gutter or on welfare. It's just something that you'll have to do at some point in life.

I always told myself, I wouldn't be anything like them. I wouldn't do it. I'd be lazy and sit around and do nothing all day. That's great and everything, but what happens when you don't have that option anymore? Are you going to live at home the rest of your life? A loser? Some people take that path, and where does that get them? No where. They become useless to society and really, have no place.

Sometimes the bar is set to high. People have this huge hopes and dreams for themselves, they expect too much of themselves. Then when they fail, because they will, they take a plunge. They fall right back to the bottom and have to come to terms with the fact that they aren't going anywhere, anytime soon. If they can't cope with that, you find them with their brains painting the walls.

Now maybe I lost you, maybe you aren't quite sure what I'm getting at. Sure, it might seem somewhat diluted but I do in fact, have a point.

Expectations are always going to be there. There won't be any living outside the box for you if you don't plan on being a waste of life. You're going to conform like everyone else and do what you're told. If you sky rocket to the top, good for you, but your chances of that happening are next to none. Don't get yourself too excited ever, unless you have a nice life insurance policy that your wife can feed the kids with a few years with.

I try not to set a bar for myself. I just kinda do what I do and go with it. I've come to the conclusion that there isn't much in life that I'm good at or amazing at, but what I can do well, is exactly what I do. Make sense? I hope so, cause I don't repeat myself.

For years now, I've realized that living an "alternative" lifestyle twenty four hours a day just isn't possible while maintaining a career. People can claim whatever they want, but there will always be standards, rules, regulations, always something prohibiting them from being different. I've giving up and moved on, something many can't seem to do. False hope guides their live and ultimately, ends up ruining it. They may die happy, die fighting for something they believe in, but to most of us, they will just be another number.

I see people fighting all the time for these causes that they believe so strongly in. Most of them however, don't exactly die fighting. They just die and they are put on pedestals cause they've done "so much" for 'so and so' organization of 'random third world country'. These people fought so hard, did so much... I guess.. Yet the country they tried to help has gotten no where. It's still a third world country. These are exactly the people I'm speaking about. They have expectations that they never meet and are let down. They don't die from fighting, they die from letting themselves down.

With that said, I'm Vincent Kane, and from me.. You'll hear the stories of how everything went wrong.
