At Vintage Solutions we are Volkswagen enthusiasts. We also have many friends that love Volkswagens as well. Being diehard fans of this little vintage German car, we discovered that there were many desirable accessories that we wanted and that we had a hard time getting them. Plus, even if we found them, they were expensive!!! This is when it came to us, and we had an idea... What we do is reproduce those hard to find parts and accessories that were long since obsoleted and very hard to get. First we made them for ourselves, then we thought we could sell them to you at very reasonable prices. At the same time, we try not to depreciate the value of the authentic part we reproduced. Also, if you have an idea for a part and feel you can sell them, we can design and produce your idea for you (minimum quantity is 10 pieces) and we will NOT sell them to anyone but you.
Usually, an idea will be tossed back and forth (between Roy and myself) to see if it is possible to start such a project. If it seems possible, the original part(s) are located and purchased (if possible) and it is drawn using a 3 dimensional computer aided design program. This way, we can see the part in all 3 dimensions and see if the part would be cost effective to manufacture. If it seems to be a feasible project, I will program the CNC mill to make the prototype. We will then compare it very closely to the original.
