The Packhorse - January 17th By Girt My night started off about 6 when I trekked up to Otways house intending on getting some fish and chips on the way, but the Little Fisherman was closed and I couldn't be bothered to go up to Murgatroyds. From then on I knew I was going to go hungry. So I arrived at Adams house and after waiting in the cold for a number of minutes he finally turned up at the door. Later on, after he had his tea, he came back upstairs laughing his head off. He then told me a story which involved his brother, Men and Motors and his dad and a video recorder. Round about this time, I got a text from Seb, asking when we are getting the bus, so I told him about 8:20, about 5 minutes later he rang me with the same question. So we finally set off to the bus stop at about 8:15 and Leoni was there, Adams girlfriend/friend/girlfriend.......................After nearly missing our stop and me nearly falling down the stairs we arrived at The Packhorse. Me and Seb went in and Adam and Leoni went elsewhere for a bit. After Goblin had showed us where the Beat followers were hiding, we sat down and Tucker questioned me about spitting in his pint the previous night, which resulted with comic effects. So I got a round in for me and Seb and we sat back and enjoyed the jukebox in a room that was as colourful as a prison, with Pete telling me to put on Christmas songs. Gant told us that the first band was on at 8:30, this was at 8:45. So some of us trundled upstairs to watch a good band play. After a while, I returned downstairs to get my tea... a packet of nuts. It got to about 9:55 and we all went upstairs to wait for the Beat to come on. It got to about 10:15 and the band were still playing, they were quite good, well I say good I mean alright, I mean alright, they wern't too good, well what I mean is that I wanted to find a knife and slit my wrists whilst drinking some vinegar. At this point Goblin had had 1 or 2 pints too many and started to dance, which brightened up their performance, a little. They finally buggered off stage and the ncie people they were didn't even stay for the main attraction. It was quite obvious that Goblin had a few when bought their CD, so me and Goblin had a few laughs at it. The Beat finally started to play and all my worried in the world disappeared. When "Lookin Pretty" came on, Doni teletexted me back, as I wondered where he was as a certain ones sister was there. When Tucker decided to break his snare Melia shared some of his comic genius with us, I say comic genius, he just remembered it off Peter Kay. The Beat finished, or so we had thought until a ratted Goblin wanted more than Gants babies.... he wanted another song. When they had finished me and Les-Life ran to the bus-stop where I contemplated getting some food, until my prayers were answered when someone threw an apple at Seb. I was tempted to go and get it, but a car then ran it over . On the bus home we all came to the conclusion that the bus driver was a terrorist who was meant to blow the bus up, but got too carried away with the whole experience of driving a bus. I think he may have found reverse more times than first. I returned home after another night out with the Beat and raided the fridge, but that is a different story....................................
