In This Issue: Violent Femmes Announce AUS/NZ Tour March 2005 Continuing the VF Fan List Tradition - Note from the Moderator VIOLENT FEMMES AUSTRALIA & NEW ZEALAND TOUR – MARCH 2005 Feel Presents are proud to announce the return of the quintessential cult band, Milwaukee, Wisconsin trio, VIOLENT FEMMES. Their last visit to Australia in 2003 started off as a nine show run with the possibility of an extra three shows. It quickly turned into a twenty seven show marathon of Australia AND New Zealand that included six sold out shows at Sydney’s Metro plus sold out shows everywhere from Darwin to Geelong to Yallah. They return this time at the invitation of the Byron Blues Festival, the New Zealand University Orientation Committee and all of those towns and cities they never made it to last time. And as with the previous tour, expect to see the full original lineup; mouthpiece Gordan Gano “the elder statesman of teen angst” (New York Times) acoustic bass player, Brian Ritchie and stand-up drummer, Victor De Lorenzo. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A note from your moderator: Hi guys. I've decided its time to pass the keyboard on to another fan. Our VF fan list has a great history. It was originated by Neil Fahey (from Australia) on or about January 13, 1996. It was then called ROCK!!!!! James Schrader took over the list early in June, 1996. Pat Wary took over from him on July 15, 1997. Pat took a poll and the subscribers voted to rename the list AMERICAN MUSIC. I (Deana Dearry) took over from Pat in 2002.
