"Two Rogues Cross Paths" Chapter 4
Duo closes his eyes and leans forward to kiss... material?
Duo opens his eyes to see that he is now kissing the palm of Rogue's gloved hand.
Duo's redness reaches new heights as he attempts to grin.
‘I'm... s... sorry.'
Rogue looks into his eyes and tears start to flow down her cheeks followed by sobs. Duo,
having no idea what just happened, put his arms around her and pulled her to him, resting
her head on his chest and gently stroking her back. Rogue sobbed and sobbed as she listened
to the comforting beats of Duo's heart.
Duo, still not knowing what to do, gently kissed her head. As his lips made contact with her
scalp, he lost conciseness and his memories flooded her mind.
Memories of loosing everyone she ever cared for and killing to keep from being killed and
Sister Helen and Father Maxwell and a massacre and ...
Rogue screamed in pain and loss.
Suddenly, a strange beeping noise started to come from the ground underneath her.
"Shinigami." The word escaped her mouth before she knew what she was saying.
Rogue ripped open Duo's pack and began fumbling around. She finally found a remote control
and pushed a button on it.
The ground opened up and produced Shinigami.
Rogue approached Shinigami, opened it up, and climbed into the cockpit as if she had a
million times before. She pushed the com link button.
"Yo, Heero! What up?"

"Who the hell are you? Where's Duo? Omae o korosu."
The words brought a chill down Rogue's spine.
#Duo? Ah'm... Duo!#
"Look, Duo needs help. I can't say how much longer I will be able to speak this language.
Just get over here and bring a medical crew! And, don't try and scare me."
