"Two Rogues Cross Paths" Chapter 5
Heero arrived to see the same strange girl tucked under a blanket with an unconscious Duo.
An unknown emotion penetrated Heero's thoughts as he landed Wing. The girl seemed to be in
total shock as she watched Wing land and Heero emerge.
Heero ignored Rogue, for the moment, and went straight to Duo with a medi-kit. Heero
couldn't see anything wrong, but Duo seemed to be in a coma-like state.
"What did you do to him?"
"I... I didn't mean..."
"What did you do?!"
#She looks like she's been crying.#
"I... I just... touched... him. I didn't mean..."
"Stop stalling. How did this happen? I need to know so I can help him."
Heero looked up at Shinigami and realized that this girl already knew too much.
"Omae o korosu."
Rogue spread her arms in a cross shape and looked Heero in the eyes.
"Go ahead."
Heero shook his head in confusion.
"Stop that!"
"Stop what?"
"Stop impersonating Duo!"
"I... I can't."
Heero started to pull the trigger on the gun he had pointed at Rogue, and, as if on cue, Duo
woke up.
"Somebody get the license plate on that truck." Duo mumbled.
"Duo... what happened?"
"Heero? What are you doing here?"
"What's she doing here?"
Rogue grinned innocently, a little too much like Duo to make Heero comfortable.
"I said cut that out!"
"What?" Duo and Rogue asked simultaneously.
"Hn."
"Wait. Heero, what are you doing?"
"She knows too much, and she's the one who did this to you."
"Did what?"
"I'm not sure."
Both boys look at Rogue.
"What happened?" Duo asked without malice.
‘Um... could yall please speak in English now?'
"What did she say?"
"She doesn't speak Japanese. I forgot."
"She was just speaking fluent Japanese! I don't know what you've done, but... "
"I don't think she can understand you, Heero."
Rogue looks confused.
‘What happed, Rogue?'
