"Change" Chapter 19
"Get away from him, Yuy!"
"I didn't do anything."
Wufei bit his lip.
"I know. It's just..."
Quatre appeared in the doorway.
"Wha-what's wrong?"
"Stay with Duo. Yuy and I need to have a *talk*."
Wufei grabbed Heero by the wrist and drug him out of the room and down the hall. They
barely missed getting smacked into by Trowa.
Trowa entered the room to see Quatre bandaging the trembling Duo. Quatre looked really
stressed with dark circles under his eyes. He, too, was beginning to tremble once again.
"What's going on, Quatre?"
"I... I'm n-not sure."
"*What* is going on, Wufei?"
Wufei tried to speak and then gave up and pointed to his monitor. Heero sat down in
Wufei's chair and started to read.
Quatre and Trowa carried Duo back to his bed and tucked him in when they heard the distinct
sound of two Gundams taking off. Trowa looked at Quatre.
"You stay with Duo. I'll go see what's going on."
Trowa jumped into Heavy Arms and flew after Heero and Wufei.
"What is going on?"
"We have some *stuff* to take care of. Stay out of our way!"
"I'm not leaving till you tell me what's going on!"
Heavy Arms took a battle stance.
"Helping the war or hindering it, we are going to blow the #^@& out of that base we found
Duo at."
"The scientists there have to be stopped!"
"I'm coming with you."
Quatre started to worry about the others after a couple of hours. Duo had fallen asleep and
was now sleeping restlessly.
"Shhhh... It's ok, Duo. Shhhh..."
Quatre held Duo's hand and tried to calm him down. Duo's mouth moved as if he was talking
in his sleep, but Quatre couldn't make out what he was saying. Quatre was leaning over Duo
and trying to decipher his mute mumbles when Duo, still asleep, grabbed him and kissed him.
Trowa was stumbling up the stairs, remembering the wonderful feeling of seeing the base
disappear into flames when he opened the door to see Quatre and Duo kissing. Trowa slowly
shut the door and ran down the stairs past Heero and Wufei who were now making their way up
the stairs.
"What's his problem?!"
"Hn..."
When they arrived at the door, Wufei gave Heero a silent look and they nodded to each other.
Heero took a seat against the wall next to the door in the hallway and Wufei opened the
door. Wufei opened the door to quite a sight. Duo and Quatre were staring at each other
with eyes the size of dinner plates and skin as red as a lobster's. It was an *interesting*
sight to say the least.
"What's going on?"
Ok, so I didn't exactly post this chapter soon. I tried. ^_^
Duo: "You're just lazy."
Plude: "You're one to talk!"
Heero: "She has a point."
Quatre: "Hey, how come none of the rest of us are ever in these openers and closers? That's
not very nice."
Wufei: "He is right. Injustice!"
Trowa: ". . . . . ."
*plude shrugs*
Duo: "I know why! Wufei always goes off about justice, Quatre always tries to be overly
sweet, and Trowa hardly speaks anyway!"
*All three boys pummel Duo. Heero jumps to his defense, and the whole area turns into a
huge heated brawl.*
