"Switching Places" Chapter 10

Duo managed to ‘acquire' money and was now walking down the street with several bags in his
hands when he spotted a gun shop. As his hand touched the door handle to the shop it melted
and everything froze and went surrealistic.
#What the hell did she put in my food?#
Xellos suddenly appeared in front of him. "You won't be needing anything in there."
"How the *hell* do *you* know what I need? Thanks to you, I've been malletted, glomped,
smacked, tormented, and I can't even take a leak in peace!"
"This was *your* choice as I recall. You even begged."
"You tricked me!"
Xellos grins. "Now, now that's not a very nice thing to say." *shakes finger for emphasis*
The trip to the west wing had sounded so easy, but when they got there, the room they had to
pass through to the intercept coordinates was full of guards. Quatre cocked his gun and
started to aim.
"Wait. There's too many for you to take out with one gun."
#I think I have enough energy for one more.#
"But... we only hav..."
"SHISHI HOKODAN!!!"
Quatre's jaw dropped open, and his space heart screamed as light poured from Ranma's
fingertips and dropped all the guards at once. Nether took time for words as Ranma grabbed
Heero and ran across the room with Quatre at his heels.
Trowa and Wufei were indeed waiting on the west wing with a stolen Oz jet. The boys quickly
scrambled inside. Once inside, Quatre and Wufei started emergency medical procedures on
Heero while Trowa flew the jet. Ranma just stood back watching Wufei and Quatre and feeling
helpless.
"Will he be..."
"Don't know yet."
"We need to bring him too. He could be in shock."
Ranma leaned up against the wall and felt ill. He had never seen so much blood. He could
feel the exhaustion and dizziness creeping up on him. The escape, ki blasts, and stress had
taken their tole on him, and he passed out.
Wufei looked over to Ranma.
"I'll take care of Ranma."
Quatre nodded his response.
Heero woke with a start as Quatre waved the smelling sauce under his nose.

Duo ran home and straight to his room. He couldn't wait to put the contents of his bags to use.
The Tendo's were sitting at the table when Duo came out for dinner. Akane held P-chan in
her lap and appeared to be feeding him. Upon the site that greeted them the entire Tendo
family and even P-chan facefaultered, and Nabiki mumbled something about pod people. Duo
strolled in wearing his normal all-black attire complete with priest shirt and black
low-riding cap.
Duo grinned and shrugged upon seeing their reactions. "What?" *innocently*
"Did somebody die?"
#Give me time, Xellos.# "No?"
"Then, what are you doing dressed like that?"
"I thought it would be a pleasant change."
"Duo ma-boy, you're never going to attract Akane dressed like you're part of a funeral
procession."
"I'm afraid Satome's right, son."
"Get off it you two!"
"She's right. Why would I be trying to attract her?"
"Duuuuuoooo!!!" Akane looks mad.
"What did I say this time?"
"So, you're trying to attract one of your *other* fiancees?"
Duo nods ‘no', frantically.
"Duo, are we going to have to go back to stricter training?"
"Training? Let's go!" *grins knowingly*
#Yeah old man, like the strictness of your training could compare to gundam piolet training.
This should be a walk in the park.# (As a side note, everyone remember the fish sausage
training a.k.a. the cause of Ranma's cat fear.)
Genma walked into the dojo, and Duo quickly followed while smugly doing the Ash Ketchum
patented hat turn.
"Ninmu ryoukai."

Seeing Quatre, Heero laid back on the mat.
"Was the... mission a... success?"
Quatre shook his head.
"Told you he would screw up."
"Heero... Ranma saved your @$$! If it wasn't for him, you would still be captured and
possibly dead by now."
"He should have left me and...*groans* ...completed the mission."
"All of us would have done *exactly* what he did. Now be quiet and hold still before you
bleed to death."
"Hn..."
Duo: "Quatre has a potty mouth!"
Quatre blushes and Trowa grins pervertedly.
