"Switching Places" Chapter 4

Duo realized that he was now soaked as Akane came running out.
"I told the nurse that you still had a headache, and I would make sure you got home safe.
That way, you can change back and get some more rest."
#Wow, this girl is actually kind of... nice. Ranma must be a real jerk.#
"Arigato." *smiles*
#He's being *nice* to me? What happened to ‘tomboy'?#
Duo and Akane ran towards the house in the rain until they came upon a little black pig.
"P-chan! What are *you* doing out in the rain?!"
Before Akane could move, Duo bent down and scooped up the little pig.
"How kawii!" *smiles*
#Duo's being *nice* to P-chan?#
P-chan bites Duo.
#That's what you get for making fun of me, Duo!#
"Ouch! I don't think he likes me."
Duo hands P-chan to Akane and they resume running.
Upon arriving back at the house, all three are soaked.
Akane heads towards her room to change.
"Duo would you take P-chan to bathe with you? He looks cold. I wouldn't want him to get
sick."
"Ok."
#No argument?#
Akane hands P-chan to Duo, and Duo heads toward the bathroom with the struggling P-chan.

Ranma is just starting to calm down when the door bursts open to reveal Heero holding a gun
pointed at Ranma. (Heero said he had a mission. He didn't say *what* it was or *who*
issued it.)
"Go ahead. I don't deserve to live."
"Heero, what are you doing?!"
"Saving our missions."
"I won't let you..."
Quatre fell to the floor as the vase Ranma hit him with made contact with his head.
#Sorry, but I don't want you to stop him.#
Ranma held out his arms and closed his eyes tightly.
Heero's arm started to shake.
"Well... Get it over with!"

Duo shut the door, put down the pig, drew a bath, and started to peel off his cloths. When
he was done, he picked up P-chan again. P-chan struggled and struggled.
#Ranma must hate animals. This guy seems more like a jerk all the time.#
"Don't worry. I'm not going to hurt you, little guy."
To calm him down, Duo held P-chan close to him with his head on Duo's chest. P-chan's nose
promptly started to bleed.
"What happened? Maybe you are getting a cold. Only one thing to do."
Duo stepped into the water and started to sit down with the now very struggling P-chan still
on his chest.

Ranma opened his eyes to see Heero shaking just before Wufei ran into the room and tackled
Heero.
"Injustice, Yuy! This is your mission?!"
"It has to be done. He's putting us all in danger."
"Baka! Injustice, you did this to him!"
"Stop fighting! He's right! I deserve to die!"
The tidbit of distraction was all Wufei needed to knock out Heero and grab his gun.
"Why did you stop him?!"
Ryoga: "Hey, kill off Ranma for me."
Xellos: "Isn't it funnier to watch him suffer?"
Ryoga: "Good point."
