and I had terrible dreams.
Each one filled with darkness and shadows
and evil lurking unseen.
I awoke to find that everything
was just the same as before,
and I can’t take it any longer,
I don’t want to be sad anymore.
So give me a hug today,
and take away some of the pain,
wipe away some of the tears,
and break away some of the chains.
Squeeze my hand to let me know
that you still want my heart,
kiss my cheek to remind me
we’ll never be apart.
Then I will be stronger
and able to cope with it all,
but I need your support to remind me
that I will never fall.
