Back to Violette's Corner
But a poor, lonely frog sulks in the grass,
hoping their fun won't too long last,
for the frog is never included in their fun,
they look on her as the stupid sad one.
She hopes* up to John who is sound asleep
looking for some memento* to keep.
The fairies continue to dance in the air
as Rachel cuts off a piece of his hair.
Then she puts a curse on this fellow,
As horrid as Beth can spell. Oh!
John can never take a wife
As long as Rachel lives in his strife.
Beth may not be able to spell
but Rachel cannot rhyme as well.
As for John's matrimonial curse.
Beth will fix it with some dust from her purse.
Now the fight is on
Rachel will not lose,
since her curse is gone
she'll put sleeping power up Beth's nose.
I think you meant powder but I can't be sure,
but since it's wrong it needs no cure.
Now Beth spits on Rach a fairy curse
so now forever her lips are pursed.
Beth sounds a war cry like a quail
but Rachel knows that she won't fail
but then again Rach lost before she began
for she was beat up by a freshman and an old man.
What is this rhyme of nonsense?
Is Rach crazy or is it innocence?
Her rhyme makes no sense and is strange,
is Rachel getting deranged?
What is it that doesn't make sense?
I pray you speak! Tell me hence!
I will not hesitate to tell you my story,
and you don't have to worry for it is not gory.
I realize you can be beat up by a frosh
but who is the old man, is his name Ross?
Why would dear Beth cry like a quail?
What is meant by the crazy war wail?
In taekwondo she was beat up by such
but after it was over it didn't hurt much.
Beth is mad so she cries like a quail,
she thinks in battle it will help her prevail.
Beth needs no help to prevail
she knows Rachel will surely fail.
But back to John who is asleep,
did Rach get some hair to keep?
Of course she did
for when Rachel's obsessed
she take a piece
of who she likes best.
That leads me to wonder what she's taken from others
maybe a question I should ask her mother....
But now be quiet for John is waking
and muffins are in the oven baking.
The muffins the frog finds
and forms a plan
this food will bind
John in a distant land.
But Beth intercepts these treats,
she knows she's got Rachel beat,
The plan Rach had was bold
but now John will find a hand to hold.
Oh, how has this poor frog gone wrong?
She only wanted John all along.
But she's sad because he's not right
to be her boyfriend - it would only be a plight.
Foolish, foolish frog, no more will you complain
John has eaten the muffin and now he is insane.
He knows the girl he wants is near,
he even thinks her voice he can hear.
But alas! The woman who emerges
is not exactly the one for whom John urges.
The lady who comes out is his mom,
why does everything always go wrong?
* These words are meant to be hops and momento respectively. The spelling errors refer to the line in the next stanza "as horrid as Beth can spell."
