My mind is comforted to think they’re the same where you are.
In the day I feel the sun, shining down so bright,
So bright, but I know that you can also see the same light.
Sometimes I hear your voice, whispering in the wind,
You say to me “I love you” and tell me how you’ve been.
On sunny days I wonder if it’s been sunny for you,
Under cloudy skies I imagine that you’ve been rained on too.
Just knowing you see the same things floating in the sky -
Over your head the same clouds or the stars that catch my eye –
Each reminds me we’re still connected, if only by the vast blue sky.
