Back to Violette's Corner
No One
Elegance and grace she cannot create,
Looks and beauty are not her traits,
Inside she knows that’s not her fate.
Zealously wearing her heart on her sleeve,
Although in herself she doesn’t believe
Because deep inside she thinks she’s no one,
Everyday living in fear of the sun
That could one day expose her face,
Holding the sins she cannot erase.

Always she tries to hide away,
Never finding a place to stay.
Gone are the days of innocence,
Exchanged with a fearful and foreboding sixth sense.
Lacking the restraint not to show more
All feelings of love from her do outpour.

Since birth she’s been plagued with a depth of emotion,
Inside her there is a lasting devotion,
More than the world will ever realize,
Only seen through the tears in her eyes,
Never will she remove her disguise.
