| I. WHAT IS A PORTFOLIO? | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| A portfolio is a folder which contains your class writing activities -- from first thoughts and notes, to drafts and revisions. It is organized in chronological order and hence is a visible record of your writing progress and process. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| II. WHAT GOES INTO YOUR PORTFOLIO? | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 1. Table of Contents | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 2. Letter of Reflection (or Synthesis). I will give directions for this in class. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 3. The final in-class paper. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 4. Three of your favorite term compositions, dated, with all drafts attached | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 5. All other pieces of writings, drafts, and revisions, peer reviews, teacher feedback and conference reports. (Pieces and drafts stapled together.) | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 6. Any additional pieces of writing that you have been inpired to write. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 7. Sample paper written at the beginning of term, rewritten at the end of the term. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| III. WHAT ELSE MAY I INCLUDE IN THE PORTFOLIO? | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| I recommend that you include the following helpful handouts in the extra pocket to help you stay organized during the term | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
