| I would like to show bunny pictures to my friend K, I end up making a
page about Sentaro. ^_^ Crystal Dragon's synopsis had been made a long time ago, so I am thinking to make it the next project. Ups... I choose so many pictures to scan.... ^_^ Gee... I always love beautiful artworks....^_- I shall make pages for titles which have more than two volumes, but I am so fond of Cinderella Express so it's the third page I make. Since I've forgotten the detail, I must reread it first. Then I make Darling Knights and Desperado, which recently I read. |
| 06/10/1999 Fulfill Manga-World-List I collect the data from my collection, my cousin Lisa's collection, take a note when I visit the bookstore (that doesn't wrap the manga in plastic... ^_^ ... some do and some don't), and if you find a title without complete data, most of them I take from the publisher search engine product (it is not possible to retrieve more than 2000 data mixed with other type of comic with only 5 titles appear in the window, so I search from mangakas point of view. The weakness is if there's a single volume only produced by a mangaka and translated a long time ago. Or mangas published before Elex was established e.g. by Gramedia Majalah, or published by other small publishers. Elex search engine product provides Ind title and mangaka name only). I may not find complete data for titles with long series, since the first volumes are not available any longer. For titles I haven't read, the genre may not be too specific, especially for elementary target reader and shounen. So if you know better than me, please let me know. ^_^ I am going to update this list at least once a month. |
| 11/10/1999 I find second volume of Secret Attic in Lisa's cupboard.
So I reread the first volume. The story is antique. Explaining Tarot card
a lot. I never know what is exactly Tarot card until a friend showed it
to me last year. But the explanation was in Dutch. So reading this one is
interesting - just to know.... ^_^ Miss Modern is always my favourite manga. If you need to laugh, read this one. ^_^ And I ended up making a synopsis with pictures in 5 pages! |
| 31/10/1999 I am glad I can upload Nice Summer, Miracle Girls - for this one I was helped by my friend Maria Cristina Quattrone since I don't have a complete set. Thanks to her! ^_^ - and Glass No Kamen volume 1 - 9, so the first parts of GnK, before sub-title Syair Lidah Api / The Flame's Poem are finished! And I must give comment that Glass No Kamen is so fascinating! ^_^ So many interesting things that my short synopsis became detail.... ^_^ and I don't remember how many times I have re-read the manga again and again. MCQ has given me so much support to begin the synopsis of GnK! ^_^ |
| 31/11/1999 Melody & Christopher is a detective manga for kids,
but I find it cute and full of surprising, so I made a page of it.
This manga is just published in Ind this month. ^_^ My friend Kuniko
Tomita contributes Banana Fish. Thanks to her - manga-world becomes
more various. I get help from MCQ again to make a page about Lady Georgie.
Orpheus' Window is a complicated story. I made the synopsis for vol
1-3 a long time ago. I notice that it is divided into 3 parts. The first
part is vol 1-5. The page of the first part is completed. Then I make more
GnK pages, i.e. vol 10-17. Sub-title The Flame's Poem is finished
now. I was quite surprised seeing the counter on my main entrance. I thought almost nobody came. But then, my friend told me that the counter showed zero. Always zero. And I investigated, that it happened to all pages under mangaworld_ind directory. My old homepage, viorijade, was ok. I contacted the provider's support and they said, the job must be done by them. I was so glad when finally it began to work well on Nov 17. That's why, if you notice, you can see so much difference between the two counters on mangaworld_ind index page and viorijade index page. ^_^ I put counter on each summary/synopsis page, so I can see, which title is most favorite. Though the number on an index file, like in Glass no Kamen or Orpheus' Window may show not a real one, since you must go back to the index after reading a page, but it makes it easier for me when I make the page, so I choose that way. I browse many other homepages which I fond of a year ago. I like to read synopsis. Then I add more links in manga-world-links. I make a new page about new mangas in Indonesia, well, it's in Indonesian. ^_^ |

Umbrella" Scene in GnK vol.19, she asked me to do a favor, a little bit
of translation. Thank you, I am always happy to get a response and I don't
mind with request. ^_^ I am so glad, if my synopsis pages are useful. ^_^
I am very very happy. ^_^ You can click the translation of The Strawberry Umbrella Scene from GnK synopsis page 19. I must catch up my reading and I will make pages along with that. I read Fruit Juice and Seven Magic recently. Thanks to Imelda R. Pratioto who told me about Seven Magic vol.5-6 which I don't have. Panic and As High As The Sky & The Star are among my favorites, so I make pages for both, before I give the mangas back to my cousin (I don't have them and they're not available any longer). I made synopsis of Love a long time ago, so I just scan some images. I'll add more along my reading, ok? ^_^ And I hope you like this introduction to various mangas.... ^_^ |
| 29/02/2000 Ugh, this month is tough for me! I only make Princess Army and Sabbath Cafe. SC was highly recommended by Imelda to me. So I looked for it on several places. Fortunately I could finally collect the whole set. These 2 titles are highly recommended by me. ^_~ |

Manga-World itself (LiaCyntia's Manga-World Synopsis Page). ^__^;;
Thanks to Bella (Singapore) who gives some information to Manga-World-List. I realize that the publisher in Indonesia likes to use English titles but had been free translating some of them.... ^_^ New page so far: Misery, Captain Kid (4 synopsis pages! ^_^), and Four Daughters of Armian (this one by Korean mangaka). |
| 09/05/2000 I can only upload GnK vol. 28-33 under sub-title The Purple Shadow. Thanks to Amanda and Astried who gave me info about Rajawali Grafiti, a small publisher who published some manga a long time ago. You can find it on list A-G, after Clamp, cause it published several vol (unfinished) of RG Veda and X. These are not available anymore though. |
| 31/07/2000 Well, it's been a long time, there's only GnK until vol. 38 so far, but I put some translation of the scene of Maya and Masumi with the stars above on the red cherry blossom village and the scene in the ancient shrine. They are also my favourite scenes. ^_^ |
| 20/08/2000 Today is Manga-World first birthday! ^_^ Well, nothing special actually, except I gladly inform, that I upload more pages: 20 Years and Just For You, both by mangaka Hiromi Mashiba, Secret Five by Yukari Kawachi, Miriam & its sequels by Kyoko Hikawa, and... GnK vol 39-41 ! Yay! GnK synopsis page is finally finished!!! And more... I put a new welcome page with an option to a short performance / animation of Flash. (Flash 4 required). I would like to say thanks to Guntur who challenged me to be a flasher. ^_~ |
