DIY Flexy Rack/Entertainment Center

This rack is based on the ever-so popular "Flexy-rack".  I believe the rack originated from TNT Audio and is popular with users of hometheaterforum.com, particularly those in the DIY section.  The flexy is, at its central, an assembly of shelves held together by the power of threaded rods and a ton of nuts and washers.  They are cheap but effective.

My Flexy goes a little further than the basic design.  First of all, to give an improved appearance, the rods were covered with painted PVC pipe.  The shelves were painted using gray-stone paint (the same type used on my speaker stands).  Above the TV section a top shelf has been added.  The top shelf has a section for my center speaker (a Paradigm CC-170) and some space on the sides for some DVD/CDs or other miscellaneous items.  As you probably noticed, the shelves are also quite wide.  This is to allow 2 components per shelf, allowing the shelf to hold my components without being a towering giant of a rack.

Here are some preliminary pictures: Note that these are before the top section has been assembled.
