DIY Speaker Stands

These stands being built are loosely based on the TNT Stubby.  Two pairs are being built, one pair being 35" and the other being 32".  They are for my Paradigm Atoms and Titans respectively.  This site (like the stands) is under constant construction.

Here are a few of the pictures from the construction so far:

1)  Here is the first batch of cut pieces

2)  Here is a quick size check of my Atoms on the stands soon to be top piece.

3)  Here is a shot of many ofl the pieces for the 4 stands.  It also includes the PVC cut to length.

4) Now comes the time to cut the holes in the particle board in which the PVC will be secured.  Off to the left you can also see the textured stone style paint I will be finishing the particle board with.

5)  ....and here is a mock-up assembly of a stand just to get a rough idea of the look and size of the stand (this stand is intended for a Paradigm Titan).

6)  The two-piece bases and tops have now been secured together using wood glue and a few screws.  In the picture you can see the hole where the PVC will be stuck into.

6)  Well I finally got around to snapping some pictures of the finished product.  Here they are:

Here is a top down shot to hopefully give an idea of the texture

And here is a shot of the bottom.  We put little bumpers on the bottom to prevent the rod from scraping the ground.
