PIMETA Headphone Amplifier
This project is a mid-level DIY headphone amplifier based on the META42 design with a topology that shares some similarities with the PPA. If you are interested in building one of these, the best place to go is Tangent's website and visit the PIMETA Amplifier Section.
The PIMETA I built falls closer to a bare bones version than a maxed out one. Mine does however, have dual stacked BUF634Ps on the L/R channels to improve transient response. The op-amp used is the Analog Devices 8620/10. Other key parts include: Panasonic FC series capacitors, Panasonic EVJ-C20 potentiometer, Cardas RCA jacks, Neutrik 1/4" headphone jack. All these are mounted in a Hammond 1455K1601BK case.
