My Daily Driver: 1994 Probe GT |
Story: |
I got my Probe GT for two reasons. One was because I was tired of putting so many miles on my Cobra to and from school, etc. The other reason was because I wanted to keep my Cobra out of the New York winters, which consists of cold, lots of snow, and most unfortunately SALT!! I got my PGT from a car auction that my friend's dad was nice enough to take me to to find a car. I won the auction for $950 so I was pretty happy, seeing as KBB on the car at the time was over $2200. I got it with 93k miles. The car is pretty basic, no power windows or locks, no cruise control, no sunroof, no rear wiper, etc. It basically has no options but its perfect for a winter car, thing is a total beast in the snow :-D It now has a CD player b/c my friend Hooper gave me the stock one out of his '95 Probe GT (seen on the Street Lethal page). It does have the automagic transmission so the car is robbed a lot of power compared to the 5 speed version, however, this car can get rubber hitting 2nd gear. ^_^ The second generation Probe GTs actually do handle quite exceptional. I love the firm ride and how the thing handles like its on rails. You would never expect it but it's true. Another awesome thing is the hatchback. It's amazing how much stuff you can fit in the trunk of such a small car. |
