1982 Buick Regal
Purchased: December, 1999 - $500
Sold: February, 2000 - $900
My stepdad came across this clean, southern Buick at the salvage yard he used to supervise. $500 got the car home, and I decided to do a quick-build with it, just to get it on the road and have some fun without having to invest a lot of money into it. I had a Chevy small-block and an F-body TPI system that I thought would work quite nicely, but before I actually got started, I realized that these cars have quite a following. My Regal had already been dressed up to look like a Grand National, with the appropriate wheels, hood, and paint job. I slapped the thing on eBay, and turned myself a $400 profit. I put the money towards the real car of my dreams, the 1984 Monte SS I picked up a few months later. |
