Despina, born in NYC but raised in Athens-Greece, has been living in Philly for four years now. She likes to sing and play the guitar. Sometimes she gets inspired and writes songs in Greek. She does not claim to be a full-time musician. Most of her creativity has been absorbed during the past years in computer science research. Her second passion, however, has always been music. When still in Greece, she produced radio shows and composed music for songs written by her friends. Here in Philly she has found a new welcoming environment for her musical endeavours. Her regular music home has been "Effie's Restaurant". She has also a regular at "3onTuesday" and the "Ellipsis Cabaret" and other great venues.
