Bile Greene Bio: Bile Greene is a singer/songwriter/guitarist in the tradition of Robyn Hitchcock, Sam Phillips, and John Lennon. Someone once held a gun to Bile's head and asked him what kind of music he played and Bile came up with "contemporary troubadour." Mostly, Bile hates being asked that question. Bile also dislikes being described as folk, although he readily acknowledges a strong Celtic folk influence. Bile recently fronted his own band called Hot Mango Chutney, which played many of these same songs. Bile also plays lead electric guitar (currently) with Aviary, an improvisational rock band, and (in some people's memories) with Toybox and Blue Agnes.
