| Hmm ... What to say? My Name is Beth ... though, in the online world, everyone calles me 'Chastity' I've been painting off and on since around 1997, first learning the art while my fiance worked at a local gaming store. On my days off from school, I'd go down to the store and paint while he worked. Eventually I built up a collection of my own paints, and started painting at home instead. |

| I gave it up after a while ... school and a job taking over my life. A few years back,, I started role-playing again, and I needed a miniature for the game. Out came the old paints, brushes and the pile of unpainted miniatures ... I fell right back into it. Since then, I've been collecting and working to improve my painting skill - it has come a long way. I currently paint miniatures for myself, and occasionally for my gaming buddies. For a while, I tried to paint for others, but, it really didn't work out. I also run demos and classes under Reaper Miniatures Black Lightning program. Which is, in fact, the purpose of this website. Why "Virgin Metal"? Well, as I said above ... I'm known by several people as Chastity, and I wanted to include that somewhere in my 'studio' name. While I was having a discussion with a friend from California, he suggested Virgin Metal. I signed up on yahoo, designed the logo in about 20 minutes, and was off and running. |
