Family of Solomon Asberry Cadle of Poinsett, Jackson, and Craighead Counties, AR SOLOMON'S ANCESTORS It has been said by some CADLE researchers that the father of David L. CADLE was Zachariah, and that Zachariah's father was Benjamin. Both Zachariah and Benjamin were in NC in 1784-1787, Captain HUMPHRE'S district. One researcher says that David L. married about 1815 to Esther Lynch, born Buncombe Co, NC, the dau of Solomon Lynch. The same researcher also states David's father was Zachariah, who married Ann Rachel Gaither. He also has that Zachariah's father was James. David L and son Patterson both served as constables in Jackson Co MO. The Cadles moved to Worth Co, Mo shortly before the Civil war and it is thought that some of the family still lives in that area. It is said after the war, the family scattered, some going to Oregon. I have chosen to include what I know of Solomon's siblings on this page. TRACING SOLOMON Solomon Asberry CADLE, age 27, b VA, was found in Gentry Co MO in 1850, with first wife Nancy Jane HINK, 33, b MO, and children, all born MO, Sarah, 5, James, 3, and Charity, 1. I haven't yet found him in 1860 census. Nancy 33, and children, all born in MO, Sarah, 15, James, 13, Charity, 11, Carles, (Charles?) 8, William, 7, and Martha, 5, were in Gentry Co MO. In 1870, Solomon, age 48, b VA, was found in Ralls Co MO, with second wife, Maria A MAILEN, 35, b OH, children Agnes, 9, b KS, Henry ,6, b KS, Andrew, 3, b KS, and Emma (my great-grandmother), 1, b MO. I don't know where Solomon was living in 1880, and I have it from a descendant of Solomon's son, Gelie, that Solomon died in 1899.
