MY BRICK WALL

ALBERT WILLIAM DOWNEY

Solomon Asberry CADLE gave his permission in 1886, in Dunklin Co MO, for his daughter, Emmie Armelta CADLE (Emma) to marry Albert Wm DOWNEY. Albert is my brick wall. He died before 1900. I know nothing about him, except later censuses say his children’s, (Albert Andrew, Dollie May and Bertie Lee) father was born MO. He is stated to be “over 21” on marriage application. I’m not sure where or when he was born, when he died, or even where he is buried. A mention of Albert's age in his father in law's pension papers places his birth about 1861. The family lived in Poinsett Co, AR, I believe, at the time of his death. Emmie married again, died at Brinkley, Monroe Co, AR, her body removed to Waldenburg, Poinsett Co. I don’t know if she was buried where her mother, Maria CADLE was, at Balch-Johnston Cemetery in Jackson Co AR.
