The McKay Family vs. The Blonde Bombshells by Sharon Zimmer July 01, 1998
Sunny McKay: 5'8" 120 (22 y/o) - Ginny McKay: 5'9" 148 (45 y/o)
Angela Eadie: 5'6" 170 (25 y/o) - Claire Bartlett: 5'5" 175 (27 y/o)
Ginny and Sunny McKay aka "The Family" enter to a recording of "We are Family" both
women wearing black one-piece suits and wrestling boots. They climb into the ring and
are dancing to the music as they await the "Bombshells". Suddenly "We are Family" stops
with the awful sound of a needle being dragged across a record and the arena lights dim.
A young woman dressed in a red "Beefeater" costume appears from the locker area
carrying a Union Jack. She's accompanied by an elderly Scotsman playing a bagpipe
("Scotland the Brave") and they march to the ring piping and waving the flag.
After a moment, The Blonde Bombshells appear, waving to their fans and frequently
stopping to sign autographs. The girl carrying the British flag and the piper enter the ring
as "The Family" whispers in their corner. Without warning, Sunny attacks the girl and
grabs the flag. The girl flees in panic! Ginny snatches the pipes from the Scot who, not
getting paid enough to face a crazy woman, also flees. Sunny rips the flag from it's
wooden pole, throws it on the floor and wipes her feet on it as her mother stomps on the
bagpipes making a squeal like a sad, pathetic pig. The Blondes look up from signing
autographs to see their flag and pipes being desecrated by The Family and race toward the
ring.
Claire dives under the ropes and slides on her stomach, grabbing the tattered British flag
as Sunny picks up the heavy wooden flagpole, raises it high and slams it down on Claire's
head with such force that the flagpole breaks in two. Claire lays stunned as Angela,
unaware of her partners injury, goes after Ginny who waited for just the right moment.
Angela is bent over coming through the ropes as Ginny snaps her foot forward and
catches the heavyset woman under the chin and snaps her head back. Meanwhile, Sunny
is pounding Claire's knees with the half of the flagpole she's still holding. Claire is nearly
unconscious and the only sounds are her moans and the "CRACK" of wood against flesh
and bone.
The referee quickly calls for the bell and the match is started! Ginny pulls Angela to her
feet by the hair, scoops her up and body slams her back down. The ring shudders under
the impact of the big woman. Sunny comes over and just as Angela sits up, she whacks
her across the face with the flagpole. Her forehead starts to bleed profusely and she
collapses at Sunny's feet. Ginny tosses the other half of the flagpole out of the ring and
drops her leg across Claire's neck, then goes to help Sunny with Angela. They both lift
Angela up, raising her high over their heads and throw her out of the ring onto the
concrete floor below. She lands in a heap and doesn't move. Sunny leaves the ring and
continues to kick and stomp Angela as Ginny turns to Claire.
The redhead picks up Claire's ankles, steps between her legs, folds and bends them as she
wants, then sits down quickly and clamps on a figure four leglock. Claire screams and
tries to sit up, but the pain in her legs is too much and she collapses on her back holding
her head and moaning. The referee comes over and bends down, "Do you want to
submit?" She grits her teeth and moans as she quickly nods her head, but Ginny doesn't
release the hold right away, giving Claire's leg another couple of seconds before the
referee pulls her off the thickset Brit girl. Claire writhes in agony as Sunny rejoins Ginny
and the referee raises their hands signifying their victory in the first fall.
Claire is still hobbled as the bell rings for the second fall, so Angela (her head bandaged
to stem her bleeding) comes out for The Blonde Bombshells against the veteran Ginny
McKay. Ginny only goes about 1/3 of the way across the ring, staying close to her corner
and her daughter/partner. They lock up and Angela uses her low center of gravity and
weight to force Ginny back. Suddenly, Ginny head butts Angela, spins her around and
slams her into the corner where Sunny is lurking. Sunny holds the back of Angela's suit to
keep her in the corner as Ginny rips off the bandage and wraps it around Angela's neck.
Sunny twists it tight, choking her and holds her hair as Ginny climbs up on the middle
ropes straddling Angela, raises her fist and starts to pound the big Scots girls face as the
crowd counts . . ONE . . TWO . . THREE . . FOUR.
Angela starts to bleed again, her blood running in her eyes and blinding her. Ginny tags
Sunny who hops through the ropes as Ginny takes her place in the corner choking Angela
with her own bandages. Sunny drives a knee into Angela's stomach twice, then backs up
and runs at her, driving her shoulder low into the big woman's soft stomach. Seeing her
partner in deep trouble, Claire climbs through the ropes and limps toward her, but Ginny
warns Sunny who turns and executes a perfect drop kick that puts Claire on her back.
Sunny hops up and quickly tags in Ginny who joins her daughter in the ring.
Together, they pick Claire up, raise her over their head and carry her back to her own
corner. They drop her with her throat across the top rope. She flips over and lands on her
back, flopping around on the canvas gagging and unable to breathe while the referee tries
to get Sunny out of the ring. He does and then makes Claire return to the apron. While he
is distracted with Claire, Ginny hooks Angela's leg and rolls her up, attempting a pin.
When he sees it, the referee finally starts to count, but only reaches "two" before Angela
drops her free leg over the bottom rope. He orders Ginny to release the hold which she
does, only to quickly tag in Sunny who is waiting on the top ropes in the corner. She leaps
into the ring and lands on Angela's leg which is still over the lower rope. Angela's body
jerks upright and she screams as she clutches her knee.
Sunny once more tags Ginny who also is poised on the top rope. She jumps right on
Angela's stomach, knocking all the wind out of the big girl. Ginny tags her daughter and
Sunny steps through the ropes into Ginny's arms. She lifts Sunny up and drops her on
Angela's big bosom with Sunny's legs on either side of Angela's head. The referee sees
Angela's shoulders are pinned and starts to count, but Claire once again comes to rescue
her partner. Ginny intercepts her, however, and uses a single leg takedown of her bad leg
to drop Claire on her face moaning in leg pain. The referee counts to 3 and taps Sunny's
shoulder to award the match to The Family.
Ginny and Sunny pick Claire up and throw her face down on top of her partner's body in
the 69 position, then climb on top of Claire, straddling her as they pose for pictures for
photographers at ringside.
"We Are Family" the McKay theme song, is blaring once again as the two proud McKay
women strut out of the ring leaving 'The Blonde Bombshells' shell-shocked.
