1. Use of information:
The only personal information you are required to give us is your birthday and your e-mail address. This information will NEVER be shared or sold to anyone and will not be used to send unsolicited e-mails. As soon as we send your confirmation, your name and email address will be deleted from our database. The only information we keep is the name of your pet, and the password that goes with it.

2. Our Children's Policy:
Although our website is aimed at mostly children and young teens, children under the age of 13 are not allowed to join. We have no way of being 100% sure that it is the parent giving permission and not the child so therefore, if you want a V-Pet and you are under 13, you'll have to ask your parents, or wait until your 13th birthday. Please note that this is because of a new federal law that requires all internet companies not to collect personal information from children under 13 years of age, unless a parent or guardian gives consent personal information includes the child's name, e-mail address, phone number, ect. Please try to understand ours, and other internet companies similiar to us before you allow this to upset you.

3. Cookies:
You've probaly heard of cookies, but if you haven't here is a brief explanation. A cookie is a small piece of data placed on your computer by a website you are visiting. The cookie does not collect any information from your computer, and can be deleted by you, the user. Cookies are generally harmless, many of them expiring within 10 minutes. Here at V-Pets, a cookie will not expire if you visit your pet often like every good v-pet owner should do! There will be one and only one harmless cookie placed on your computer. The function of the cookie is to remember your pet's name.
