Greetings from an IL Art Teacher! Below are some photo's of my current room and of my new room that is still under construction. I have been in my current room since 1980. |
I had to BEG for this sink! Its almost the size of a bathtub, but the one I had before this was a regular ceramic lavatory basin, like the ones found in a restroom. |
This is our "new" kiln. Its a top of the line Skutt with a kiln sitter. It fires like a dream. We got this 3 years ago. |
A shot of my desk and the student's computer. I also use this computer with an Averkey and the TV to show powerpoints I make about things we are making or studying. I have my own computer, too and both have Internet connections. |
This arrangement might interest someone...Notice how the tall cabinets face the wall. They are place about 5 feet from the back wall and make a great partition. The area behind the cabinets is restricted and that is where the kiln and the drying shelves are. Sometime I hang posters or student work on the side facing the room. |
A different view of the student's computer and my desk. |
Here is a panoramic view of my new room... |
This is an enlargement of the proposed mini-lab for computers. |
