About Us...

You might be wondering who we are behind the Virtual Birth Center. My name is Toni Rakestraw, and I'm one of those moms who wear lots of different hats. Most of the time, I'm mom to five wonderful homeschooled kids who find delight in the most surprising things.

I am also the wife of my very best friend in the world. Without John's love, support, and technical expertise, none of this would have been possible.

At times, I am also a childbirth educator and doula, and most days finds me also diligently studying midwifery, in the hopes of being as good of a midwife someday as I have been lucky enough to work with during my last pregnancy.

With the help and expertise of my husband, this website has been put together with a lot of love and hard work. And many thanks to the many caregivers who have participated by being a part of our national listing of providers. They have contributed to the success of this website and to the success of many moms-to-be out there looking for the perfect match in prenatal care.

The Family

Our next little one is due to join us on August 3, 2001. Currently we are hoping for an easy, uneventful pregnancy, as our last one left us at 9 weeks gestation on August 3, 2000. Updates will occur as needed.
