The Druid Seer Druantia Nalla Lorgana |
Surrounding herself with the bounty of her great goddess, the woman walked freely towards the slow moving brook. The hint of fraility and weakness clung to her petite figure, red gold hair laying in its splender on her delicate back, an illusion to all that know her, reality to those who do not. It was her protection against the nimblemindedness of everyday thinking, to shield herself from the outrageous wants of others. A sigh wracking her slender build, using her staff for leverage as she eased down to sit by the water's edge, allowing it's tranquility flow into her body to bring on a calmness she was not feeling. The pale greenness of her skirts billowed about her, allowing her hair to shine from the light of the sun while dark sapphire eyes peered deep into the crystal clear water below. Only to see the colors beging to swirl until a murkiness was before her, eyes growing blank as the vision took hold of her body seeing what others can not, looking deep at what the hands of time shown her what lies in the future. Never was it her own future, it was others she knew or yet to know that she seen as she eased back up to her tired feet, another person's future came to her eyes. Eyes of one so young filled with wisdom and knowledge of the ancients before her, her duty was not yet complete |
The baby girl of the chieftain's daughter graced the world as the sun began to crest the hills, bathing the land with its red-gold hue. The soft luskful cries of a hungry babe attested to her awakening within the mortal realm. A new "princess" was born, for the young lass was indeed one in her own right due to her mother Ethniu's social standings. The wild cheers of the warriors ran rampant among the lines of the village, each clapping the handsome bard on his back. Each and every occupant of their humble home congratulating him of this daughter. At the time he knew not that he had sired another, upon a noble beauty that had given him shelter from the weather's wrath. Ethniu wishing to honor the goddess who was the queen of all druids, gifting her only daughter the name Druantia. The Goddess Druantia, the babe's namesake, was the goddess of fir, fertility, passion, sexual activities, trees, protection, knowledge and creativity. Deeming that the child of her childhood love deserved such a name. Dru had grown up all her tender life in her parent's village, though her parents never truly wed they always had an understanding of her welfare. Her father had a wanderer spirit wishing to grace the beauty of song and words to those less unfortunate. But when she gotten to spend time with her ellusive father, he taught her many various tricks. The truth of the world outside of their home, disliked much to do with arcane magics unless they be of the fae. Such tricks consisted of illusions. Making images appear that were truly never there in the start. Also making such things disappearing when in truth they never left. She mastered it all, wanting to be like her dear father. But her mother made her learn other duties, she is a master of the homely skills as well. Nothing is beneath her. But soon the days that she enjoyed with her father came to an halt, for he drew deathly ill. Nothing that she or anyone else could do anything to prevent him dying. Finally growing tired of being frail and weak, hanging onto shards of his life, Rhiwod begged his second born to search for her sister. To tell her of his departure of their world and journeying to the next. Making her promise to do so, to get to know the woman who in truth was three years her senior and to follow what was in her heart. Tis that why she is here in Rhydin, searching for that woman who is of the same blood line as she. And to follow into her father's steps of wandering the world. Seeing new things, witnessing the beauty of other cultures and to be one with everything or everyone possible. Tired, trying to live out a peaceful life with her sister to help in healing and watching of her nephew and nieces, hoping that no longer will people come to her for her to see their future. She may be a seer but she only gives answers to those who truly needs the knowing. Mortal Index |
