$1,400,000 - Grant from the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development through the Section 202 Supportive Housing for the Elderly Program to Visions Five CDC to construct and operate a 20 unit facility, Laurel Creek, Inc., in Cookeville, Tennessee, to house frail elderly tenants. The facility will be operational in 2004.

$ 18,500 - Grant from the Housing Assistance Council with funding from The Enterprise Foundation and the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for technology and operating support to develop an assisted living project for rural Tennessee.

$ 5,000 - Subsidized loan from private healthcare company to finance feasibility study for low income assisted living facility

$ 10,000 - GTE GIFT Foundation. To send two teachers to Boston and Washington for training in using interactive video technology. Jackson County Public Schools.

$ 20,000 - Tennessee Division of Forestry. To found pilot project to demonstrate minimization of wood waste in Pickett county lumber businesses

$ 50,000 - Tennessee Department of Human Services. To train unemployed workers in starting their own woodworking businesses.

$ 40,000 - Rural Utilities Service. Zero interest loan for forest products business to create rural jobs in Pickett County. Plant now employs 40 people, locally owned.

$100,000 - Rural Electrification Administration zero interest loan to help finance county-owned recycling center, Fentress County.

$225,000 - Farmers Home Adminstration. Assisted with subsidized loan to help Finance county-owned senior citizens center.

$ 8,000 - National Trust for Historic Preservation, Institute of Museum Services and American Association of Museums. To finance conservation and planning studies for Cordell Hull State Historic site and Museum

$20,000 - Tennessee Division of Forestry. To assist in equipping and to facilitate location of Old World Woodworking Jackson County. Plant employs forty.
