Museum of Making Music
We recently visited The Museum of Making Music in Carlsbad, CA. It located is high on a hill, overlooking the “Flower Field” and the Pacific Ocean. A beautiful site for a museum.
Entry fee was modest. $3.00 each for seniors.
It covers the history of Making Music In America from 1890 to 1990. We really enjoyed the museum. The museum has 5 room, covering a 20 year period. You can listen to music of each period by selecting the music (by type and by artist) heard during that period.
For those of us who enjoy bringing our cameras, the museum does allows photography. It is a great day trip!
While you are in the area, remember to visit the nearby "Flower Fields", 5704 Paseo Del Norte, Carlsbad, CA. That too is well worth the short drive to Carlsbad. If you need more information, contact Harvey or Joanne
In the same area, Letty recommends visiting the nearby American Gemological Institue, 5345 Armada Dr Carlsbad, CA 92008. If you need more information, contact Letty or John
