DREAMIN OF SHADOS (Pending): Sindis Brite Shado ApHC x JustIncredible Dream: Colt foaled 1/10/03. “Justin” is sired by a red leopard that earned 86 points in Yearling Colts and Most Colorful. “Phat” (see 1998’s) is just shy of her halter ROM. This friendly colt is a flashy chestnut with a white blanket to his withers. He has a big blaze and lightning marks on all four legs. He is built like a tank and has a nice hip. He is eligible for the Mississippi Valley ApHC (MVApHC) futurity, as well as the Midwest Appaloosa Horse Association futurity. He’s a steal at $2,500

BLACK N WHITE PRINT (Pending): Miss Sindi Sea (AQHA) x Mystic Print: Colt foaled 3/2/03. “Print” is an attention-grabbing black colt with a beautiful white blanket filled with lots of black spots. This tall (46” at the withers/48” at the hip as of 5/06/03) colt is very affectionate and shows lots of potential. He is sired by Mystic Print who is known for his ability to sire colorful get who excel in a variety of disciplines. “Print” is eligible for the MVApHC closed futurity. Palomino with a white blanket to his withers, palomino dorsal stripe, 4 stockings, a star, stripe and roan mark – you can hear him coming! Friendly as can be and a real cutie to boot! Too early to tell but with his breeding and our experience with his older brothers and sisters, he should be a tall, athletic colt that likes to work and learn new things. $2,500

2001’s:

SHADOS GOLDEN PRINCE: Prince’s Goldene ApHC (Prince Plaudit and Wapiti) X C MityBrite Shado: Gelding foaled 3/08/01; A GREAT ALL-AROUND PROSPECT! This characteristic palomino has a star and stripe, white flakes over his hips and is a real “get in your pocket” kind. He’s a big gelding with plenty of muscle, refined head and neck with good strong legs and is really doing well in training for Snaffle Bit. If his older siblings are any indication, he should mature to 16.2H. These critters like to do whatever pleases. They’re being ridden on trails, showing Western, English, at Halter, Jumping, etc. Received his ROM in Yearling Halter Geldings and in Yearling Longe Line. He has 60 days under saddle and is quiet enough to be trail-ridden (doesn’t balk at anything!). $3,000

VISTAS KODA: Lighter Than Aire ApHC (Truckle and Navajo Britches) X C MityBrite Shado: Gelding foaled 3/31/01. “Koda” has a big white star on his forehead, is a beautiful bay with a big, spotted white blanket. We’ve raised and sold four of this colt’s full siblings – they’re all 16+ hands. Koda was 43” at the withers at birth – expect he’ll be on the tall side of the family! He’s a looker and friendly as can be. Just started under saddle. If you’re looking for a dressage or hunter/jumper prospect who will do Hunter In Hand now, we have him waiting for you here. Barely started under saddle and quiet as can be. $2,250

VISTAS VELVET: Vista’s Daybreak ApHC (Go Bay Go and Freckles Bandit) X Wapiti Bay (Go Bay Go and Wapiti): Mare foaled 4/17/01. “Velvet” is black with silver roaning from head to toe. As her mom is a gray, we would expect this filly to end up that way but right now, she is a beautiful “blue/black” and a real stand-out in the pasture. She has a beautiful head and is a tall tank. She is bred to perform. She is non-characteristic but both Dam and Sire are already on file, so she could be CPOd. $2,000

ROWDYS NORA KAY (AQHA): Superstition Rowdy x Joy In June: Mare foaled 3/05/98. “Nora” was purchased last fall from some friends in Iowa. She is huge! A sorrel with a slight blaze and no other white on her. She should throw some great size on her babies. If they have her temperament at all they will be great. Nora is HYPP N/H and built like a ”brick house”. We are looking forward to more Halter babies that will ride! She is bred to C Mitybrite Shado for a due date of approximately 3/22/04. $3,500

SINDIS BRITE SHADO: Miss Sindi Sea (AQHA) X C MityBrite Shado: Mare foaled 3/09/98. “Phat Filly” is bright red chestnut with some roan, flaxen mane and tail and is a tall (15.3 hands) tank. Phat is checked in foal to JustIncredible Dream (red leopard who earned 86 points in Yearling Colts and Most Colorful in one show season) for January 10, 2004. This foal will be eligible for the Mississippi Valley ApHC futurity. “Phat” had a gorgeous red chestnut colt on 1-10-03 by JustIncredible Dream. SHADO OF SINDI: Miss Sindi Sea (AQHA) X Ha-Dar Shado (ApHC): Mare foaled 4/11/96. “Little Sindi” is a red roan with a star, stripe and snip and is just 14.3 hands. We started this mare in the round pen and she is a beautiful mover. We did not finish breaking her out because we just ran out of time and decided to use her as a broodmare. She is registered non-characteristic but could probably be advanced. She had a beautiful palomino dun filly by Hollywood Taps GN on 3-12-03 and has been bred back to Hollywood for approximately 3/21/04. $2,500

ELUSIVE LOU SILK: Superstition Rowdy (AQHA) x Silky Lou-Silk: Mare foaled 4/22/93. “Lou” is a pretty chestnut with some light roaning over her body. She stands about 15.2. Lou is very quiet to be around and her ’03 filly is just like her. We purchased her just last fall and she has turned out to be a great investment. She was bred to an AQHA stallion but did not settle – we’ve had her vet-checked and she is absolutely sound for breeding – not her problem at all but got too late in the year for us. She will be bred to C MityBrite Shado in February 04. $2,500

In April, 1994, this mare suffered a serious injury to her left hind leg, severing the tendon in the front of the leg. She underwent surgery and an extensive rehabilitation period. Through all of it, she maintained a pleasant, friendly personality. This is a beautiful mare who is broke and sound to ride! She may never be sound for lengthy rides but moves beautifully for short rides and never acts unpleasant. Her babies all have that nice, flat-kneed way of going and they make excellent Pleasure horses. Sindi had a gorgeous BLACK & WHITE colt by Mystic Print on 3-2-03. See 2003’s for more info. SIMPLY A STAR: Skip Away Babe (AQHA) X Star J. Mare foaled 1/24/97; “Lacey” is chestnut with blaze and 2 “almost” socks on her hind legs. This mare won lots of futurity classes as a weanling and yearling, was started under saddle as a 2-year old, laid off when she came to our place in ’99, bred in ’00 and produced “Pleasureosity”. We tried to get her bred again via shipped semen 2 years in a row – Doc says she’s allergic to the extender, so no more shipped semen for this gal! Bred to Hollywood Taps GN this year and she settled first time around - due about 3/08/04. This foal should be a “pleasure machine” because Mom sure is and so was her first filly! Lacey is a wonderful Pleasure mare and we feel a bit bad about the fact that we only trail ride her – she could go to the show pen with a bit of “polishing” and do extremely well. $4,500

Classy was broke out and ridden for about 60 days as a 3 year old and has only been trail ridden a couple of times since then. She is sound, breads easily and settles the first time. LIGHTER THAN AIRE: Catty Talk ApHC x Truly Ready ApHC: Mare foaled 3/2/87. “Jazz” is a pretty bay with a small white splotch on her forehead. This 15.3 hand CPO’d mare was a successful hunter/jumper during her show days.

“Jazz” has produced some very nice babies that excel in English events. She is a proven SPORTHORSE producer. Due to a 10yr old leg injury, she is no longer a suitable jumper although she has never come up lame here. For that reason, we don’t think this mare could be shown again but should be fine for trail riding and she would make an excellent addition to your broodmare band.
