Vistext(o)…..is inspired by the avant-garde who have pushed experimental text to new limits, specifically Cesar Espinoza, Clemente Padin, the Noigrandes Poets. Also a nod of respect to the work of Harry Polkinhorn who has broadcast this new poetry across cultural and geographic boundaries and to Karl Young of Light and Dust / Kaldron for his leadership in providing a venue for artists who work in this form.
Vistext(o)…..is a gateway for international Mail Art where Chican@/Latin@ artists can participate in global events. It is an opportunity for artists to be recognized as cultural workers within an international community of creative individuals who are committed to social justice. It is an opportunity to teach, learn, thrive and celebrate in a context of global consciousness.
