Dreamer of Dreams

Oh, weaver of dreams
Rest here by my side.
Enclose me in darkness
Betray the worlds tide.

I'm merely a mortal
Left on the outside.
Rest with me dream weaver
Weave dreams I'm denied.

I'm sleeping dream weaver
Time's spinning away.
Spin dreams that my loved one
Is with me today.

I hear his sweet laughter.
I see heavens pride.
I feel  his warm body
In my arms opened wide.

But then as I close them
To hold him inside.
He's but a vapor
And I wake, and I cry.

You torment dream weaver
You torment me still.
I still lie here empty
I die unfulfilled.

If but for one second
You'd cast time aside.
My beautiful stranger
And I could abide.

All the stone falls and torrents
That life throws our way.
We'd live on forever
We'd win in the fray.

Protecting each other
From life's weary  tears .
And loving each other
Till time disappears.

I'm sleeping dream weaver
Time's spinning away.
Spin dreams that my loved one
Is with me today.
