| Queen Mother of the Viva La Violets chapter of the Red Hat Society Sherry Schmidt |
| Hello all you beautiful red hat sisters! I was crowned Queen Mother at an amusing and fun filled ceremony in June of 2004 by our "violets" founder and original queen, Doris Sprinkle. I am a retired school teacher who views this time of my life as continuous playground recess and I vow to play and socialize as much as I can. What better playgroup than "The Red Hat Society"? I have a great husbnad, Chuck, who likes to hear about all our chapter's happenings and to poke good spirited fun at my bodacious red hats and purple regalia. My motto is "It's not too much if you don't tip over." We have a daughter and three precious grandchildren with whom I spend a great deal of time caring for and playing with - a truly wonderful labor of love. I also help Chuck in our dry cleaning business. Hmmm...Did I say retired? My interests include a passion for collecting Native American art and learning about their culture and history, Broadway musicals, British comedies, traveling, jazz, and, of course, socializing and bonding with my wonderful red hat sisters. VIVA LA RED HATTERS! VIVA LA VIOLETS! Smiles Sherry |
